Massive $70 Million Development Pitched for Oxford

Plans include 150 units and a Price Chopper grocery store.

A developer has huge plans for Oxford and is pitching a $70 million mixed-use development, the Waterbury Republican-American reports. 

Haynes Development Co. is planning to construct Oxford Towne Center on 32-acres of the Haynes quarry at 297 Oxford Road, Route 67. 

The proposed development includes a Price Chopper grocery store, a drive-thru pharmacy, 150 residential units, a bank, medical facility, automotive service center, a chain restaurant, and smaller retailers, the Republican-American reports.

A new town library may also be built there, and it will generate almost $900,000 annually in tax revenue.
