New Oxford Town Hall Hours Revealed
Town Hall will be open five days a week beginning next week.
Starting next week, the Stephen B. Church Memorial Town Hall in Oxford will be operate five days a week.
Town Hall, which is currently open only four days a week, will be open on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. for residents to come in and obtain applications and permits. Also, the Pomperaug District Department of Health will have hours on Monday from 3 to 7 p.m.

In the event Monday is a holiday, Tuesday hours will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
For the first time in decades, Town Hall will be open on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the convenience of the public, said First Selectman George R. Temple.

He said being open five days a week will show accountability and professionalism.
“I think this is a good solution to making town hall run better,” said Temple.
The new hours are subject to change.

If Monday is a holiday town hall will be open 9 a.m. to 7 pm. and Monday schedule applies to Tuesday.
