No Money To Update Oxford's Informational Sign

What happens when there is no money in the budget to pay someone to update the town’s informational sign near Center School in Oxford. 

Well if you guessed that no one updates the sign, you are correct. 

Nancy Farham, of 16 Barry Road, informed Board of Finance members at its meeting this month that there is no funding to pay someone to keep the sign current with town event information. 

The bicentennial committee had raised money to pay to install the sign, and she did it on her own. Also Later Stan, who works for the town, also would update the sign with events, but can’t do it anymore. 

Farham urged Finance Board members to hire someone to do it. Currently, events cannot be posted on the sign, and Parks and Recreation doesn’t have anyone to do it.
