Oxford Post Office Makes Temporary Move

The move goes into effect on Monday.

Effective Monday, July 14th the “Oxford Post Office” will have a temporary home at 297 Oxford Road (a/k/a Route 67) and for local customers it will be all too familiar as the post office had previously been located at this address several years ago.

“Haynes has operated the Oxford Post Office for a number of years and this is a temporary relocation” said Kathy Ekstrom, Haynes Development Manager.  This recent move is necessitated by future demolition of the current “Haynes” post office on Echo Valley Road and development site of the future Oxford Towne Center.

“Keeping the post office in town for both businesses and residents and offering hometown postal service is important to us.  Our plan is to provide a more prominent and permanent home for the Oxford Post Office within our Oxford Towne Center which is slated to open in 2015” said Ekstrom.  We have a lot of great community minded plans for the center and the post office is just one of them!
