Lake Zoar Drive-In Wins Readers' Choice Poll for Best Burger

Monroe-based drive in is popular amongst Oxford Patch readers.

Hot dogs and hamburgers are a staple of summer picnics, and since we're getting close to the unofficial kick off of the summer, outdoor barbecue season, we thought it would be good to ask Patch readers to vote for the favorite burger joints locally.

We had votes for many local restaurants, including , , ,  and the .

A commenter signed in under the name "My Good People" posted that Lake Zoar Drive-In "has the best burger in the state! "Zoar Burger" can't be matched!"

And someone else named "OHS Grad" said "Valley Snack Shack in Seymour has to have the best burger around."

Ultimately, Lake Zoar Drive-In was our winner this week as it received 51 percent of the vote and that bold statement about it being the best in the state. That's sayin' something.

Congrats to all businesses who received votes. I encourage our readers to try all of their food, especially their burgers; I have - I have some extra pounds to prove it - and they are all delicious!

Have a great weekend.

There is a relatively new playscape at posypanko for town use. The one at Center School is fromRead More before QFS was built. The monkey bars are too small for the kids to even fit under. My point is if there is money to spend, and we want a playscape, how about fixing one that is used everyday.
