Milford's Best Auto Mechanic: Who Is It?

If your car needs to be fixed, who do you go to first and why?

Trust. It's one of the most important considerations when choosing an auto mechanic: we want to be able to trust that the business owner we turn to will do the job right, on time, and not charge us an arm and a leg.

Whether the dreaded engine light pops on, your car breaks down or it's just a regularly scheduled tune-up, we want to know where you, the Milford experts, go to get your car fixed.

Your answers will help other Milford residents find the best auto mechanic in town and you'll be supporting local businesses, too! So vote for your favorite in this week's Readers' Choice contest and don't forget to rate and review the business by clicking on its name below.

Here's our starter list (let us know if we missed anyone):

Mattie's hands down, they're fair, honest and get it done the first time with no hassles. I recommend all my customers there and never had a problem. Many shops use them for alignments and front end work.along with all your mechanic's needs, even certified dealers use them, so why would you go anywhere else?

Mike, Last time I checked when I go to the polls I can vote "ONCE" other wise it is unfair. Say what you will but that is the way I see it and I am sure I'm not alone.

Ken, You are NOT alone. I find it hilarious that they took down the "re-vote" once you mentioned it here!!! If one looked at the poll results here and if it was really a fair depiction of the public opinion I guess no other shop would stay in business. What a load of sh*t!

you guys all seem to be a little near-sided, if you look at all the other town sites they were running the same poll for each town. if you look at there results you will see there weren't even 200 votes for all the shops on each site, so that means only a few options of how this turned out. 1, milford folks are more computer savy the the whole rest of Connecticut, 2 everyone else in the state didn't care about there town local garage, or 3. looking at the two shops that got all the votes here in milford they are into some crooked dealings. if you look at there respective facebook pages one shop has about 600 friends and the other has less than 50, so if facebook was there hitch they would have to get 100% of there members to vote Many times. is this likely. hummmm, i guess the answer for me is clear the shops who scam the system is not the car repair place for me. if that’s what they are willing to do to win a stupid poll, what will they do to me and my car. a last note. milford being a dealership town how come they were not included in this poll, that’s where I take my car, and it has always been fixed right. I gladly pay the little extra for the right parts and experience.
