The New Oxford School Planning and Building Committee will hold a public information sesion for a proposed athletic field at Oxford High School tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 4. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the media center at Oxford High School, 61 Quaker Farms Road.
The session will include an overview of the both the design and process necessary to implement a public project of this type, including steps necessary to approve and fund in accordance with the town charter, according to a news release from the committee. Representatives from the Cheshire-based Milone & MacBroom, the architectural firm hired by the committee to design the field, will present the proposed concepts, the release states.
According to meeting minutes, the firm has come up with a site plan and an executive summary of costs that was distributed to the committee over the summer; those have not yet been shared with the public at large.
