The Oxford High School Booster Club is hosting a Health Fair on Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the high school. Organizations and businesses involved with providing healthy care for people of all ages are invited to showcase their services during the event.
Organizations and businesses should be prepared to provide educational information, screenings, health awareness activities or other relevant material to people who attend the event. Booth spaces are available for $10. The fair will be open to the public.
The goal of this first-time event is to provide information to all age groups – from children to senior citizens – about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. The focus will be on:

- Increasing health awareness and disease prevention by providing health screenings, educational information and related activities.
- Increasing awareness of local, state and national health services and resources.
- Motivating participants to make positive health behavior changes.
- Teaching self-care practices
If you are interested in participating, a registration form is available at the OHS Booster Club website, at www.ohsboosterclub.com under “Health Fair” form. Send your payment and filled out form to: Debbie Sherman, 7 Perkins Road, Oxford, CT 06478 by April 15, 2012. Checks should be made payable to the OHSl Booster Club.
