T-Shirt Sales to Benefit Giordano Scholarship Fund

Shirt says: 'God must have needed a tackle.'

Oxford High School students will sell T-shirts to raise money for the Brandon Giordano Scholarship Fund.

Students Christian Bauer, Matt Sherman and Liam Fay asked Brandon's mother, Angela Borrelli, if they could make T-shirts in his honor, and she gladly accepted their gesture, the students said.

The T-shirts shown above can be ordered through the attached order form. Click on the PDF to englarge it.

was a 15-year-old Oxford High School student and a tackle on the Oxford High football who died in a car accident on March 9. The shirts, which are Navy blue, say "God must have needed a tackle."

I didn't know this young man. Oxford is my hometown, and I had a brother who died in a water accident at the age of 17 in 1981. The outpouring of love from those who knew him has continued though the past 31 years. This love has helped give our family a tremendous amount of solace and unexpected stories. The design of this shirt is tremendous. Remember Brandon in your hearts, speak of him often and with love, and trust me - he will never really be gone. Tracy Prajer Applegate

Tracy: That was a beautiful comment. Thank you for sharing. It's very true that the community gives tremendous support to people in need. As an outsider, this is refreshing to see. I'm sorry for your loss.

I can't wait to wear mine!!! It's a beautiful t-shirt. Pretty sure Anthony Paternoster started the saying. Liam Faye, Chris Baur, Matt Sherman designed the football and wings, I asked them to add the "69" to the sleeve, but it was all the vision of the boys that brought this together!!
