Oxford public schools will be closed for a fourth day in a row this week on Thursday.
The Board of Education office put out a message to local media Wednesday saying that the decision to keep schools closed on Thursday is due to the fact that roads are unsafe. CL&P crews are working to clear roads and remove trees and electrical wires.
As of 3:12 p.m., there were 2,459 CL&P customers in Oxford without power. That is 46 percent of all of the utility company's customers in Oxford. CL&P has not told anybody when they plan to restore power, leaving many people frustrated.
