This Group of Oxford High Students Is Taking Off!

For a trip to present their NASA/IPAC research on galaxies at the American Astronomical Society Meeting in Washington, D.C.

Four Oxford High School students have their eyes set on the stars. And for good reason.

They've been conducting extensive research on galaxies as part of a Physics class with Oxford High School teacher Nicole Granucci. And when 2014 rolls around, the students will be heading south to present their NASA/IPAC research on galaxies at the American Astronomical Society neeting in Washington, D.C.

  • Neil DeGrasse Tyson, who Granucci explained is like a celebrity amongst astronomers, is going to be at the meeting. She's hoping the students will be able to meet him.
