Oxford 13-Year-Old Babe Ruth All Stars Are District Champs
Oxford defeats Naugatuck in lopsided game Monday night in Seymour.
The Oxford High School 13-year-old Babe Ruth team gave no doubt about who was the best team in that age group locally Monday night.
The team won its district championship by a score of 19-1 at French Park in Seymour over Naugatuck.
The team, which won the state and New England championships last year in the 12-year-old division, will play in the first round of the state tournament next weekend. The details of that game had not been confirmed as of Monday.
