Oxford All Stars Advance in Regional Tourney

The team will play Maine tonight for a chance to advance.

Sunday was a great day for Oxford all star Matt Stordy, who clubbed two home runs to carry the Oxford 12-year-old All Stars to a 13-0 victory over Marlborough, Mass., at that team's field in four innings.

Matt racked up seven RBI on three hits. He doubled in the first inning and homered in the first and third innings and was named player of the game.

Oxford's bats came to life in the first inning taking an early 9-0 lead. Cameron Thielman went three-for-three and Nick D'Amico went two-for-three with an RBI.
Jake Biondo was in control of his curve ball, giving up one hit and two walks in four innings.

Oxford fell into the losers bracket of the Regionals after a first round loss to Vermont, 5-1.  The team will play Maine on Monday night. The winner will advance and the loser will go home.
