Oxford Football Beats Pomperaug [Video]

The Oxford High SChool football team defeated Pomperaug for the first time in school history and has a chance at making the state tournament.

 

The Oxford High School football team scored 20 unanswered points in the second half to defeat Pomperaug 42-22 Thursday night in Southbury.

With the win, the Wolverines (8-2) keep their hopes for a Class S state playoff appearance alive. See the attached video for a conversation with Coach Joe Stochmal and senior Quarterback Brennen Diaz about the game and Oxford's chances of making the playoffs.
