Last night was the single best football performance I have ever seen since we opened Oxford High School. I am so proud of these kids and their coaches. Our crowd was wild. On the first drive, we blocked a Pomperaug field goal, only to see them pick up the loose ball and scamper in for a touchdown. We overcame three offsides and a couple of holding calls. Pomperaug came out in their "Hammer" offense, which works when their line is bigger, stronger and better then ours. Our defense shut them down all night. When they went to their "spread" offense, they did no better. They just could not stop our offense. Run or pass, Pomperaug was reeling all night. Brennen Diaz, Steve Persson, Marcus Estevez, Jeff Haney, Kevin Loschiavo and the Tank Squad rolled all night. And if Chris Van Kamerick does not make All-State this year, it will be a crime. He was unstoppable last night. A few teams need to lose today for us to make the playoffs. Even if we don't make it, this was the best football season ever. No one expected this group of kids to be this good. We only had a few seniors. Stox should certainly be in contention for Coach of the Year. We are... Wolverines!

Great Job! to our boys and our coaches. Keep the Band of Brothers ALIVE! Hopefully we can ride this train a few more times. By the way did anyone give props to the band and our cheerleaders?
