Oxford Girls Cross Country Finishes First in Brewster Bear Classic
The Wolverines have an impressive showing at the regional cross country meet.
Cross Country Results from Brewster Bear Classic on Oct. 5, 2013, at Brewster High School, Brewster, N.Y.
The Oxford High School girls varsity team finished in first place overall in the Girls Varsity 3 Race.
Kristen Speaker came in 7th with a time of 21:12 over the 3.1 mile course. Sara Ponce was 9th, 21:19, Kristen Au 10th 21:20, Hannah Latka 12th, 22:01 and Aliah Murray 23rd,23:09 to round out the scoring for the girls team.
The Boys Varsity came in 9th in the Boys Varsity 2 Race. Ethan LaFrance placed 44th with a time of 19:15 over the 3.1 mile course. Noah Budris was 48th, 19:33, Joe Venturini 51st 20:18, Zack Latka 54th 21:06 and Jackson Willis 61st 28:07.
Matt Nilsen placed 17th in the 1.5 mile Freshman Race with a time of 9:23. He was followed by Spence Moran in 18th place with a time of 9:25.
