Oxford Girls Soccer Beats Stratford
The team has a benefit game tonight at 7 at Oxford High School.
The Oxford High School girls soccer team defeated Stratford on the road 2-1 on Thursday to claim its second victory of the season.
Meghan Sastram had Meghan Sastram had both assists, first to Makena Hillman and next to Melanie Cianciola. Stratford's goal was scored by Maggie Bodington.
Oxford keeper Audrey Pratt had nine saves.
Stratford keepers Grace Belport and Gilian Goodard had a combined six saves. Oxford is now 2-7-2 with its benefit game against Newtown on Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Oxford High School.
