The OHS Wolverine Wrestling Squad, entering into their 6th season, is coming off of a winning 2012~2013 season that produced a Class S State Champion and four (4) additional Placers and State Champion Qualifiers.

The Oxford Wolverine Wrestlers under Coach Blue are poised to have a winning season if you are a believer in statistics.

Having formed the team only six years ago, with no uniforms and no established program, Coach Blue has since turned the OHS Wrestling squad into a winning team with a State Title in their sights. If statistics hold true, the five returning placers on the OHS squad along with the strong list of starters would place them in Championship contention.

Coach Blue is optimistic about the 2013-14 season, stating that “we only lost two Seniors and have five returning wrestlers that placed or qualified in the States….we are looking pretty good for this season, maybe our strongest squad yet”.

OHS has six more home meets at Oxford High School this season, including their annual Valley of Champions Tournament. The schedule is attached to this article as a photo.

All are welcome to attend and support the team.
