Oxford Players Participate in Baseball All Star Game
Oxford player hits walk off homer to win the game for his team.
On Saturday July 20, at Ewald Field in Southbury, Jake Suttile, Kevin Silversey and Jared Pettinella represented the Oxford 12-year-old baseball team in the I84 All-Star Game. In the bottom of the seventh, Pettinella came up with the score tied , two runners on and hit a game winning, three-run home run to win the game, earning him the most valuable player award for his team.
It was a great game with boys from Newtown, Bethel, New Milford, Brookfield, Shepaug, Bethwood, Danbury and Monroe all participating.
