Oxford Sporting Events for Sept. 28

The Oxford High School boys varsity soccer team will host Woodland High School of Beacon Falls at 3:45 p.m. today.

The Oxford girls soccer team will play Woodland on the road in a game also scheduled for 3:45 p.m.

Whether either game will be played depends on the weather. We will keep you posted.

Archie, Your wrong. Constitutions were written for a reason not to determine whether it's a living…Read More document or not. Politicians and or Anti-Americans only believe that the constitutions are a dead document. They are excuses to put forth an agenda. Without Constitutions this country would be chaos and we wouldn't have the freedoms we have today. Only in your eye's does the words not apply because you think government can prevent and do anything they want. It's the people that rule, NOT THE POLITICIANS!

That is looking at the Constitution as a dead piece of paper instead of a living document. Living…Read More Constitutions read as if they were written yesterday not over 250 years ago. Is the Constitution living or dead. When common sense and ordinary circumstances show that the words of the Constitution no longer apply then the document is dead. That is what occurs when weapons/arms have become so powerful and dangerous that having them available in the numbers you have in this country is tantamount to ultimate murder and chaos. This is definitely not what the Framers had in mind as shown by the words prefacing the 2nd amendment referring to a militia.
