Oxford Couple Joins Ride to Help Beat MS

Burlison couple will participate in the ride on July 22.

Pat and Kate Burlison of Oxford will saddle up on Sunday, July 22, to take part in the 2012 NBC Connecticut Multiple Sclerosis Motorcycle Ride at the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford.

Kate Burlison, a physician at Physician's Primary Care of Fairfield, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2006 after the birth of the couple's daughter. She will be joined on the motorcycle ride by her husband, Pat Burlison, a firefighter for Ladder Co. 10 in the Bridgeport Fire Department. They will ride on their custom made 2009 Harley-Davidson Rocker Custom.

This year's ride offers two additional satellite start locations, including the office of the National MS Society, Connecticut Chapter, at 1 Selleck Drive, in Norwalk. The other is at Gengras Harley-Davidson in East Hartford.
