Brownies Place Pinwheels for Peace at Oxford Town Hall

Event celebrates peace day and is a national effort.

Oxford First Selectman George Temple welcomed Brownie Troop 60752 of Oxford to Town Hall Friday as the girls who set up a peace insignia on the front lawn in representation of Pinwheels for Peace, a national effort to celebrate "peace day."

The pinwheels will remain on the front lawn of Town Hall for the next week. Please take the time stop by and see this display, as the brownie troop has messages they wrote on eachpinwheel. They handmade a total of 285.
