The Oxford Lions Club announces the start of its biennial Corvette raffle.
The Lions will be raffling a 1988 Chevrolet Corvette convertible as their largest fundraising effort this year. (See photo of the car attached to this article.)
Tickets, which are $20 apiece, are available at , and from any Oxford Lions Club member. The Club uses the proceeds to support its many activities including funding the Oxford DARE program, community improvement projects at Kirk’s Pond and and other charitable causes.
Lions Announce Other Events:
In addition, Oxford students are encouraged to watch for the start of the second-annual pumpkin contest.
Graduating high school students from Oxford who plan to attend college are reminded that the application deadline for the Lions scholarship is May 12th and applications are available at high school guidance offices and the Oxford Board of Education office.
