The last Saturday in April turned out to be a beautiful day--no rain, not too hot--not too cold. It was a perfect day for a cleanup and beautification effort. About 25 parishioners from Christ Church Quaker Farms, from pre-school age to octogenarians, participated in this service project at the Episcopal and Congregational cemeteries off of Governor's Hill Road. For three hours, garbage was picked up, brush was trimmed along the fence line, truckloads of dead fall was cleared, grounds were raked, and dead memorial flowers were disposed of. Additionally, several bags of debris were removed from Governor's Hill Road. It was truly amazing to see what a difference a dedicated bunch of folks can make in one afternoon. Kudos to all who contributed time and effort to this worthy event.
