Volley for the Cure to be Held at Oxford High School

Event will raise money for the Susan B. Komen for the Cure foundation on Oct. 1.

 

The Oxford High School girls' volleyball team will host its fourth-annual Volley For the Cure game on Oct. 1 at Oxford High, 61 Quaker Farms Road.

The game will begin at 7 p.m. against Newtown High School; JV will play at 5 p.m.

The game will raise money for the Susan B. Komen for the Cure Foundation, a national nonprofit organization that works to end breast cancer in the U.S. and throughout the world through groundbreaking research, community health outreach, advocacy and programs in more than 50 countries, according to its website. 

Admission will be given by a donation. All donations will go toward the foundation.

Volley for the Cure T-shirts will be for sale for $10. There will also be pizza, pink lemonade, treats, refreshments and carnations for sale.

Participants are asked to wear something pink to the event.
