I would like to thank the Oxford community for coming out in full force to support James and his…Read More family. It was so nice to talk to all the people that stopped by and to hear all the kind words they had to say about James and his family. Very heartwarming.
I would also like to thank the family of store owners at Tommy K Plaza, where I ran a stand with the Gurecki and Aldo families. These store owners took time out of their busy day to help in so many ways. I arrived at the plaza to find signs, balloons and decorated tables. Equally as impressive, they had organized a free raffle, donating prizes from their businesses. I am overwhelmed by their amazing efforts. These business owners truly care about their community. They helped throughout the day, each time telling me, "It's for a little boy. Who wouldn't help?"
For assistance and donations, thank you to:
- Sylvia at Oxford Floor Covering & Decorating
- Dave at Oxford Wine & Spirits
- Mike at Ziniak’s Academy of Tae Kwon Do
- Joanne at Pet Super Bowl
- Mike at New England Tire and Brake Service
- The Country Creamery
- 21 Nail Studio
- Westchester Broadway Theatre, Elmsford, NY
- East Side Greenhouses, Ansonia
If you were unable to attend any of the stands on Thursday, Sylvia Hynds at Oxford Floor Covering & Decorating is continuing to collect donations which will be given to James' mom, Kelly Donohue.
Oxford has proven, once again, to be a small town with a big heart.
