Marissa Ciullo is a children's librarian at the public library in Oxford, Conn. She attended Saint Joseph College where she earned a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Writing/Life Histories in Diverse Cultures. She also interned at the Hartford Courant in the editorial department.
As a children's librarian, Marissa has eaten a grasshopper, thrown a prom for babies, and adopted a new superhero identity as Riss the Reader. Now she is undertaking a new adventure: becoming a columnist! Patch gives Marissa the opportunity to marry her two passions: writing and working with children. She will write mostly arts columns, including some about the programs the library offers children, for the Oxford-CT Patch site.
