Obituary: Brandon Giordano, 15

Services set for Oxford High School student killed in crash.

Brandon Giordano, 15, of Oxford, has gone on to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 11:47 p.m. in Oxford.

Brandon was born in Derby on August 17, 1996, son of Angela Borrelli and Michael Giordano, brother of Robert Lee and Esabella Borrelli and the Oxford Wolverines.  Brandon was a sophomore at and a member of the Oxford Wolverines Football Team. He volunteered throughout the community with the Wolverines. Brandon enjoyed football practice, weightlifting, being with his teammates, fishing and was an avid gamer and paintballer. Most of all, he loved his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, brother and sister, he is survived by his grandparents, Kim and Thomas Wargo, Jerry and Debby Borrelli, Michael Giordano Sr. and Jeanette Mansell; great grandparents, Angelina Borrelli, William and Helen Violano, Janet and Ed Paulus, Remedio Barrachina and his great great grandmother, Grace Seyler.  He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Elizabeth and Kristopher Dailey, Melissa and Louis Valentino, David Borrelli, Emily Borrelli, Joey Borrelli, Tim and Jessica McMahon, Lisa McMahon, Jocelin McMahon, Jose Saldona, Lucio and Rosalie Giordano, Renee Giordano and many, many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his great grandfather, Frank Barrachina and his great great grandfather, Wendel Seyler.

Brandon had an abundance of love for his family and friends. He was a wonderful son, grandson, brother, nephew and cousin. We will always remember his smile, his big beautiful blue eyes and his love and compassion for life. He would not want any of his family or friends to suffer over his passing. He is with the Lord.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 16 at 11 a.m. at , 656 Oxford Road, or Route 67, Oxford.  Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery in Oxford.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 15 from 1 to 3 and 5 to 9 p.m. at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brandon Giordano Memorial Fund, C/O Naugatuck Savings Bank, 71 Oxford Road, Oxford, 06478.
