Oxford's Drayton Earns All New England Honors, Again

Next stop: nationals!

Taylor Drayton, an Oxford High School track and field standout, placed fifth in the shot put and discus at the New England Track and Field Championships Saturday. She threw 40-1 for the shot put and 121-0 for the discus.

Drayton, a junior, also finished fifth in both events last year at the New England Championships. This year and last year, Drayton earned all-New England honors because of her performance at the New England meet.

Her next meet is the New Balance Outdoor Track Nationals in North Carolina A&T University Friday-Sunday. She will compete in the discus, javelin and shot put.
